The sun is out, and you want to do a BBQ or make a pie in the oven for friends and family, but end up looking at the dirty BBQ and oven grills. What could be a more unfortunate thing at that moment? But don't worry, here is a list of Oven and BBQ clean hacks you need to know.

Using the Dishwasher
Except if your BBQ is gigantic, the hotplates should fit appropriately into the dishwasher. Set it to a pot wash cycle, and they should come out as new. Once more, attempt to clean them while warm to get the best outcomes. Also, adding some vinegar while setting up the dishwasher should remove the smell as well.
Steam Cleaning
It's an easy thing to do if you have time to soak the racks for 30 min once it's cooled down. Cover the grills with hot water and soaked newspaper and close it. The steam should remove the grease and leave it in condition for later use. Oven grills can be taken out; keep them inside a garbage bag, leave them with hot wet newspapers, and scrub them with steel wool pads.
Vinegar spray and baking soda
Mix vinegar and baking soda to a paste form, apply it on greased surfaces, leave it for 30 mins for bbq, and clean it with a stiff brush. With the oven, spread the vinegar baking soda paste inside with a bowl of water, set the range to 100degree temperature for 45 mins. Later clean it with a sponge and wipe it with a clean cloth.
Apply Onion
While still warm, attach an onion to a fork and give a good rub over the grills. The juice from the onion stem cleans and removes the stuck food from grills.
Coffee hack
Soaking the grill in coffee for difficult to eliminate food remains. The acid from the coffee loosens up the dirt.
Pour some Beer
For sparking results in no time, pour some beer into a warm grill and rub it with a newspaper or wire brush. Wipe it clean with a clean cloth.
Though these are some non-toxic ways to clean your BBQ and oven, there are plenty of degreasers available on the market. Even though those work pretty fast, they have toxic chemicals, which are harmful to us.
It might feel like a lot of work, but don’t debate – clean your cast iron grills and oven. Cleaning and maintaining your oven and bbq is not a chore, it is a requirement for correct care for the equipment.
